Right off Route 66, Cadillac Ranch was created by a set of art lovers from San Francisco, California known as "The Ant Farm". Recruited by Stanley Marsh the 3rd, the Ant Farm was to create an exhibit that would surprise locals and travelers going by. Built in 1974, Cadillac Ranch quickly became associated with being a designated stop.
