Located in the shops at La Cantera, Palenque Grill is founded by Juan Francisco, also known as Don Poncho creator of the widely known El Pollo Loco. In 1987 Taco Palenque was born and progressively gained the reputation as one of South Texas most preferred places to eat. Despite his success, Don Poncho had goals of creating a full-service restaurant, rather than fast food. Following his dream, Don Poncho opened Palenque Grill in 2005. Featuring a family-oriented ambiance, this restaurant quickly followed the others in their successes.
