Originally created in Greek folklore, this mythical creature Pegasus found its way on top of the Magnolia Petroleum Building in 1934. In this era, the Magnolia Petroleum Building was not only the first building in the US to offer air conditioning, but also the tallest building in Dallas. Because of that, the combination of the buildings national title with this majestic figure on top, turned this into one of the citys biggest attractions.
