Fifty years ago, after feeding thousands as a mess sergeant during the Korean War, C.B. Stubblefield, known simply as Stubb, opened his own bar-b-q joint in Lubbock, TX. Soon, it became a hangout for local and touring musicians then later a franchise seen all throughout Texas - not to mention Stubb's signature sauce is sold in grocery stores all throughout the region. As it is no longer a restaurant in Lubbock, this historic sign captures the beginning of something bigger than itself.
