As one of the best attractions open to the public, the Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park, formerly the Williams Waterwall and the Transco Waterwall, is a multi-story sculptural fountain in the Uptown District of Houston. The fountain and its surrounding park were built as an architectural amenity to the adjacent tower in 1985 by the world-renowned architectural team of Philip Johnson and John Burgee. Not only is this known as Houston's most photographed site, but this water wall also pumps almost 80,000 gallons of recycled water every three hours.
