A historic arts village, La Villita is an art community in downtown San Antonio. Originally settled as one of San Antonios first neighborhoods over 300 years ago, it only became an art community in 1939. With art galleries, stores selling souvenirs, gifts, custom jewelry, pottery, and imported Mexican folk art, as well as several restaurants in the district.
